Introduction
Goat farming in Zimbabwe has gained significant popularity as a sustainable and profitable agricultural venture. The country's diverse agro-ecological zones provide favorable conditions for goat rearing, making it accessible to a wide range of farmers. Here's a brief introduction to goat farming in Zimbabwe. Maz farm hosts two goat breeds namely Mashona and Boer breeds.Our goats have a variety of feeding mechanisms which spreads from grazing grass to supplymentary feeding. Due to a number of diseases that affects goats, we have implemented a number of vaccination programs which includes periodic visits from the vet to asses their health and their their grazing fields.
Goat farming holds promise as a lucrative and sustainable agricultural venture. With the right management practices, breed selection, and support systems in place, goat farming contributes positively to the livelihoods of farmers and the agricultural landscape
